AT&T Is Lying!

President Barack Obama,

AT&T’s plan to take over T-Mobile is about gouging consumers, destroying a competitor and firing an estimated 20,000 American workers.

We at Free Press have warned about this from day one. Now, in a letter that was inadvertently leaked, one of AT&T's own lawyers has confirmed it. The letter reveals the merger has nothing to do with expanding AT&T’s coverage to 97 percent of the country – the main argument the company has made to gain Washington’s support, and everything to do with eliminating the cheaper T-Mobile option from the marketplace, (and laying off half of its workforce) to pad company profits.

Every AT&T argument about the supposed benefits of this merger has now been proven wrong. As AT&T’s case unravels, I urge you President Barack Obama to speak out against this dangerous deal.

Barack Obama has proven to be a grave disappointment to progressive Democrats, and those Independents who believed that this man had some Grit, Gaul, and Gumption, to get or make real changes in Washington-DC. He talks like a progressive liberal. But behave like a conservative and supporter of the rich and powerful.

This man has betrayed everything Democrats stand for mostly, and seem to believe that he could just sit back and miracles will happen for him, without even trying. What a pathetic failure, and he hasn't even finished his first term. I cannot see him getting a second term in office. Even if the Democratic base gives him their full support and votes. The Independents are the King Makers, and they are very disappointed with him.

I wanted Barack Obama to make a Real difference for the poor, and people of Color in this country. By ensuring that federal dollars are allocated to states that have the most un-employment, and lack of economic opportunities for minorities. But with all his promises to rebuild roads, infrastructure, and other internal projects. These are yet to be realized.

Barack Obama is a Liar, a Hypocrite, a Masquerade, and a blatant Conservative! He must not be allowed to embarrass us any further, nor take the country down this downward spiral any longer.

And the players, (Democrats and Republicans) are now ready to continue rumbling. However, after all of the hooting and hollering, very little have been achieved.

The deal agreed upon would still not be enough to make any real difference in the debt ceiling. And reducing the 14 trillion to 12 trillion in the short term, by not spending any money is only going to delay the inevitable.

Until both parties sit down and work out a serious plan of action to reduce the national debt real soon. We will have a repeat of this fiasco after the next general elections in Washington DC.

It may have been more prudent (to my mind), if the president did not suggest that this man aught to resign publicly. This kind of interference or commentary on issues like this one, does not auger well for his position as president. It is too personal (to say the least). And shows a lack of diplomacy in matters as sensitive as this.

Mr. Weiner is a fellow Democratic and a representative of his constituency. Therefore, I think he knows his responsibility to the people that elected him to office. And if he failed them on any matter deemed by the party or office to be un-ethical, then the party should deal with him according to the rules for membership discipline.

For the president to suggest publicly that a democratic representative resign, when that representative's behavior had nothing to do with the presidency, bothers me dearly.

Here of late, I have observed Facebook removing users from their wed page for simple things like posting Animated Suggestive Pics. Anything that vaguely resembles Sexual Conduct, and not in keeping with their CONSERVATIVE mind set, will be removed. Along with the user who posted it or those photos.

I was one of those victims of the Facebook Policing methods currently being ENFORCED.

Hitherto, when Facebook was starting up, and it's users were not in the millions, they were very pro-user, and user friendly. Now Facebook has become a Global Online empire, making billions in US an Euro Dollars, their attitude towards users Online have changed dramatically. And much to the demise of Free Internet Interaction among ALL users.

I ask all those who still cherish Internet Freedom to petition Facebook about these acts, and object to the removal of users who POST Animated cartoons on their pages. This is MOST RIDICULOUS to say the least.

And MUST be VEHEMENTLY objected to!

And president Obama still cannot bring himself to admit that to the American people?

After ten years of War in both Iraq and Afghanistan, The US & N.A.T.O. have not made any real or constructive gains in both countries, in relation to internal political and economic stability. The Taliban or Mujahideen resistance fighters are now in control of most of Afghanistan.

And in Iraq, the Sunni and Shia factions are stepping up their religious and economic feuds with each other once again.

The government in Iraq was elected to govern over five months ago. But to date, they have failed to agree on the form of government to occupy the parliament in Baghdad. So that state is still without any official administration to administer the state. Thus preventing any economic, and infrastructure changes from taking place.

The Death Toll In Iraq:

Over 100,000 Iraq civilian deaths. Thousands more have fled the country in fear for their lives, and for being killed for co-operating or working for the American occupiers. Over 4,000 US Troops have also died there, not to mention the thousands that have been maimed, disfigured for life, burned beyond recognition, blinded from I.E.D. explosives, and will never be able to re-integrate into civilian life because of severe Mental and Psychological trauma.

The Afghanistan Theater:

This country have a history of feudalism. Strong Men or War Lords have always ruled regionally, with the consent and support of the people therein. Their word is law, and the people believe and obey whatever they command them to do.

Bringing Democracy to this state will not bear fruit in the near term, especially when over 90% of these people are illiterate.

The Russians were never able to subdue these peoples, and had to flee after ten years of fighting the Mujahideen or
(resistance fighters). These resistance fighters today are the Taliban. With some El Qaeda or (foreign fighters), and other Afghan elements that are against all foreign fighters or occupiers of that country.

So what is America and N.A.T.O. doing there?

They are operating under a false pretext, and totally deluded about victory over these internal and external forces. And just like Iraq, they will continue to experience the loss of American & N.A.T.O. Troop’s lives, coupled with the growing internal Taliban killing of civilians who co-operate with the foreigners therein.

No amount of troop surge will work here either. Because Afghans are not ready to have the type of governance we in the West would prefer.
Democracy is seen as contradictory to Islam and Islamic rule by the Taliban. Yet president Obama believes or is convinced that he will make a difference.

Another self deluded president in the white House for sure!

The Obama presidency is on the line now:

This war continues to provide for the slaughtering of US men and women in uniform, will determine if Barack Obama will be given a second term.

Personally, I am not sure that he will get a second term to continue this slaughter, or fool the American people once again with false promises, un-assertive and spineless actions, and a growing un-employed populace, that sees not hope or end to this economic misery in sight.

I was on board the Barack Obama campaign from it's inception. I followed the primaries throughout, advocating for his victory until he was nominated party candidate for the presidency. After which I continued to support and advocate for his election victory until the end was realized.

I believed that he was a genuine man, even though he sometimes puzzled me with his verbal nuances and matter of fact answers to certain questions. I also felt that he would truly represent TRUE CHANGE in Washington-DC, despite the obstacles within and without his democratic party.

But he has failed miserably to Stand Up and Assert himself as president of this republic when the time was absolutely necessary for him to do so. And I will outline some of these missed opportunities or willful neglect to act credibly.

* Barack Obama promised to revamp the Internet Snooping Regulations that G. W. Bush used and amended to spy on, and apprehend anyone they felt was a national threat or suspect terrorist, This preemptive mentality is still being used by Barack Obama's administration.

* Barack Obama promised to bring the troops home from Iraq, this was eventually altered somewhat, with a promise to bring some or most combat troops home by 2011. But current evidence, coupled with a humongous Embassy built for the Americans in the heart of Baghdad, makes that promise ludicrous.

* Barack Obama increased the combat troops strength by several thousands, hoping to cripple the Taliban elements, while propping up a corrupt President and regime in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, thousands more US, NATO and Afghan troops and civilians are being killed on a daily basis.

* The Don't Ask-Don't Tell Law is still not yet repealed, even with his promise to let the Pentagon and the military Top Brass have their say and recommendations. Even though the House & Senate currently are unanimous for the repeal of it.

* Barack Obama and the US House & Senate all supported Israel's incursion and massacre of hundreds of civilians in Gaza recently. They even refused to acknowledge any UN sanctions on Israel after the Goldstone report was made public. And the White phosphorous that was mostly used to injure and maim civilians was quite evident and proven factual on the ground in Gaza, by medical personnel and observers therein.

* The Immigration reform promise is still to be addressed. Even though some hurried and politically expedient proposals were presented by some democrats in New York State, for some changes to be made. But this is not the Comprehensive approach to immigration reform we were expecting to happen. So this too seem to be a pipe dream for most supporters of Immigration Reform currently.

* Barack Obama is not respected by the Israeli administration currently. And he operates as though he is taking orders from prime minister Nethanyahu. Barack Obama's also dismisses the plight of Gazans, just because the political administration on that strip of land is deemed to be terrorists by his administration, and past presidents.

When in fact, Israel has over one million Palestinians in Gaza under military seize, destroyed the pure drinking water factory, prevent food of nutritional value to be brought into Gaza, or any cement, steel, and building materials from being brought in.

So most Gazans are living in make shift Tents, make shift homes, with no proper schools, housing, mass unemployment, unwholesome food and nutrition, and prohibited form travelling within and without Gaza.

While the US, and most of the Arab world leadership, pretends to care or speak for them.

And the list goes on without any end in sight!

If He/She Does NOT Deliver On His/Her Promises!

But That Cannot Happen Until He/She Finishes His/Her Elected Term! And That Is The PRIME Dilemma Voters Have To Contend With!

Public & Private Sector Employees:

In these sectors, when an employee is found guilty of stealing, continuous absenteeism, or bribery. He/she can be penalized via suspension without pay. Or transferred pending internal investigation, or dismissed from that position immediately.

He/she is told to hand in his/her desk keys, is not allowed to access his/her computer, and is told to collect his pay from the Paymaster/Personnel Department, and is most likely escorted out the building.

Politicians do not face these penalties. They sit and languish doing the same things they were accused of, or is suspected to be doing illegally. Until their term in office ends.

While at the same time, his/her constituents are not being served, noting in their interest is being done, and they are still being paid their salaries for doing nothing.

Never before in the history of politics in Washington, has any one party obtain the majority in both houses. The Democrats have it currently, but is unable to fully utilize this majority because they cannot operate as ONE unit on anything.

The Health Care Proposal put forward by president Obama was sliced, diced, discussed, corrected, amended, and compromised so many times. That it has long lost it originality, and substance. The original CHANGE idea for Healthcare in this country, is now being called Health Care Reform.

What a catastrophe!

I followed this drama between the Democrats and Republicans all throughout the year 2009, with every proposed date for the final product being pushed forward, until it is now almost impossible to ever get a Health Care Bill that both Houses could agree with.

The Democrats have lost THREE states in the process of this confusion, and internal fighting for PORK, with their Egocentricity. Now chances are that with the upcoming elections in November, the Democrats might lose many more seats in both houses. Some Democrats have also resigned, when they see their chances for re-election are very slim indeed, and refuse to take the risk at canvassing for elective office again.

The Republicans:

This group is being influenced by the Right Wing Nuts, Ignoramuses, Racists, and the Confused, into thinking that they have a chance to retake both houses, even the presidency.

In this regard I can sympathize with them, because history have shown that Americans generally, act stupidly when they are angry, and confused. And are prone to reinstall the same IDIOTS into office again.

Remember George W. Bush's dumb policies and lies about WMD's . And yet Americans re-elected that man to continue lying to them for four more years, ending with a economy in trillions of dollars in debt, two wars that have no end in sight, and an economy that was on the verge of total collapse, which required Socialist Rescuing Policies to turn it around.

Albeit, the political confusion in Washington-DC, and the National Commonweal continues unabated.

Gays In The US Military's Acceptance Is Long Overdue!

President Obama has stated that he is prepared to repeal this institutional dilemma. Just as soon as the Congress convenes an enquiry into the actual possibility of this repeal becoming a reality. And it could not have been too soon to act upon this long overdue and ridiculous rule, that was imposed upon Americans, willing, ready, and qualified to serve their country.

Historical References:

As a former member of a par-military organization, I can attest to the reality of those who are Homosexual, Bisexual, or Confused, in these institutions. And how they are perceived, dealt with, and get along with others therein.

When men in large numbers are placed in confined spaces like Barracks, Camps, or Regiments, they eventually get very acquainted with each other. To a point where individuals elect to seek out buddies for friendships, partners, or simply with those whom they feel akin with. That is a natural thing with men in most situations. And Barrack rooms are no different.

It is also quite possible that any individual with a certain sexual preference will be detected or observed by some around him or her. But more often than not, no one says anything, (at least in his/her face), about that observation or discovery.

Buddies also poke fun of each other's idiosyncrasies or oddities from time to time. This is quite normal in such situations. We all bug each other sometimes in joviality, or at the recreational facility, or drill square. This is all taken in good faith by most.

But what we hold dear, is that we are all buddies, and what anyone does in his/her private life, is his/her own business. Even when we bug him/her about it.

Institutional Prejudices:

The US military historically, have been recruiting (in the main) individuals from the Appalachian regions, the Outback, and the so-called Bible belt. These places tend to have lots of people who consider themselves Evangelicals. And this group of people have strong views about Homosexuality and God's will, or what they perceive as wrong in the eyes of Their God.

These individuals tend to make the military a career. In fact they tend to stay there for a long time, and become a vital part of the institution's mindset. Because they invariably get promoted to the higher ranks. The White supremacists are also part of this institution. And they too come for the above regions (more or less).

These individuals have very strong and self-opinionated views about what is God's Will, or Right & Wrong. And they do not hesitate to let it be known whenever possible.

Breaking The Barrier:

So removing the mindset/barriers in this institution may be a bit dicey, but it can be done. Especially now that the national commonweal seem to accept the fact that Gays (open or closeted), pose no risk to anyone. Least of all the military. Because they were always there, in War & Peace, Fighting and Dying on every battlefield that the US forces have been involved in.

And are always ready to serve their country if or when called upon to do so. Regardless of how they are perceived therein.

Then after receiving Billions of US Tax Payer dollars, they resumed the same practices that got them into debt once again. They resumed paying Large Bonuses, claiming they had to honor contracts.

Honor Contracts My Butt!

The greed and in-sensitivity these vultures have for the Accumulation Of Large sums of money to enrich themselves, is beyond comprehension.

Now Timothy Geitner and his Treasury cronies all deny ever knowing that the State bought TOXIC assets that worth pennies, with billions, in order to hide the true reality and cost of those Toxic Assets.

CONCLUSION:

I have said before that president Obama chose to align himself with individuals who were part and parcel of Wall Street & the Banking Institutional Rackets. These people are mentally and psychologically well entrenched in this business of Reckless Risk Taking and Speculative Investments.

They have experienced the wealth that it brought them. And will continue to take these chances whenever the situation arises for them to make another Financial Killing.

That is the nature of these vultures. They are the problem!

The president said recently that he did not campaign for The Public Option. He may be correct there, because he may not have used those EXACT WORDS. But he implied it, when he said that over 40 million Americans do not have health care coverage, or cannot afford it.

And he intends to change that when be become president!

Therefore, it stands to reason that giving them a choice with a Publicly Funded Option, to provide competition to private Insurance Companies. That would cater for the lowering of coverage fees and create a Level Competitive Playing field.

That is why it is so Urgent that we get access to a public Option for all of the above mentioned.

The Public Option Health Care Provider & What Is Means!

Hithero, most consumers sought a Health Care provider according to their financial means. Those who had the means got the best services, from the best Health Care Providers.

And those that could not afford the better ones had to settle for the sub standard providers, which did not provide for most of the needs, that most consumers wanted from their doctors/physicians.

How will the Public Option Work?

* The Public Option gives those who do not have Health Care the option to have one.

* It also allows consumers the CHOICE between the Established providers, and the Federally Subsidized Provider/Plans.

* Both Health Care plans would be providing for the Health Care needs of any American that wants it.

* The only difference is that we would be getting to choose between the Public Option, and The Private Option.

* If anyone does not want Healthcare for whatever reason, he/she has that option too also.

But the provision is there for all, if or when they so choose to get Health Care.

FURTHERMORE:

There can be no Health Care Reform without The Public Option Included PERIOD!

How Could You Train An Illiterate People To Govern Themselves?

Afghanistan:

President Obama promised to focus on developing the Afghan government, Locally and Centrally, to govern themselves.

He also emphasized that training the National Police, the Army, and other Security Agencies in that country, is vitally necessary to safeguard all Afghans in the cities, while the US and N.A.T.O. forces concentrate of hunting down the Taliban and El Qaeda insurgents.

Illiteracy:

The majority of the population in Afghanistan are illiterate. The Local and Central infrastructure that is necessary to allow for effective and efficient governance is absent. There is no official Civil Service to talk about either, and historically, business was done via the War Lords, in their respective regions and spheres of influence. And most of these War Lords are also illiterate.

So even if we want to co-opt those willing War Lords to hold governmental positions in their regions officially. How could they perform efficiently, if they are also illiterate, with no professional or modern day concept of governance, or managerial skills that could account for large sums of money in their control.

Or for the payment of salaries, pensions, and health care concerns of the Police, the Army, and all of the other Governmental Agencies that would be necessary, for the management of the Afghan State.

Corruption:

Currently, the Afghan government is riddled with corruption at all levels. Even the Hamid Karzai's brother, who happens to be an official in his government, is notorious for his corruption too. Coupled with Mass un-employment in the agrarian or rural areas. Most of which depend upon the Poppy production as a source of income for their families's survival.

How could an illiterate agricultural oriented people move away from what they have been doing for decades to earn a livelihood. Just decide to change their occupation for something else, which they have little or no abilities, know how, or possible qualifications?

Re-training & Re-educating Afghans:

If someone was arrested or apprehended in a foreign country where the US & N.A.T.O. forces were or is fighting terrorism, with that government's approval of their presence there. Then, anyone who was actually involved in combat with N.A.T.O. or US troops while engaging in fighting terror. He/she would be brought back to the US or interned into any US base in that country, or abroad for questioning.

If it is determined that such arrests are unfounded, or no concrete evidence was unearthed that substantiate the allegations that he/she was indeed a combatant, then that individual must be set free. Or returned home to his country or to the country that he was arrested in.

Habeas Corpus:

In terms of habeas corpus for that individual. The US will say that a foreigner arrested in a foreign country, or on US shores or territories, is not qualified to be tried in any US Court Of Justice, because he/she is not a US citizen. But that does not prevent him/her from being tried in the country where he/she was arrested instead.

Could justice or the presumption of justice for these individuals be guaranteed in another country for their alleged crimes?

That is an open question. But the US and I presume N.A.T.O. are obligated to abide by the UN & Geneva Conventions which stipulate, that all combatants (uniformed or not), caught in any theater of war, his/her rights be respected under the UN Charter, regardless of whether he/she is guilty or presumed guilty of any war crime.

Could The Alleged Combatants Suit The US?

I guess he/she could file suit against the US or N.A.T.O authorities/governments if he/she feels that his/her Human Rights have been violated. And any suit can be filed in a Court Of Law.

But in the case of the US Judicial system, such a suit may not be entertained, because that person was not a US citizen at the time of arrest or incarceration.

And currently, under the Obama administration, a special Military Tribunal, conducted by the US military will be the forum where Innocence or Guilt is determined.

But in the eyes of most of your Young, Older, and First Time voters, this is also a referendum on Barack Obama's ability or inability to STAY THE COURSE, and TRULY deliver on his promises.

For example:

* Firstly, You promised to end the war in Iraq. That war is still happening, and our troops are getting back into combat therein, because the Iraqi government cannot maintain National Security.

Meanwhile, we are hoping that you bring all combat troops home as stated.

* Secondly, We expect you to STAND UP to Israel, like A Leader, and The President of The United States.

But what we are seeing is the president cowering or 'Cow Towing' to Prime Minister Nethanyahu's obstinacy against settlement building cessation.

* Thirdly, you have removed the Ban for HIV visitors to the US shores. But can any HIV infected person get Legal Residence Status while here? That is still not yet clarified or mentioned?

* Fourthly, unemployment is 29% nationally. Millions are out of work, and still cannot see any prospects for employment on a permanent basis anytime soon either.

* Finally, the bailed out Banking Institutions, and the Wall Street Investors are dancing the 'Hoolah.' While the rest of us are loosing our homes, cannot pay our rents, and are homeless, or will become homeless very soon!

So Mr. President, have you forgotten who you are supposed to be working for?

When the US Supreme Court (those lofty Public Servants), refused to listen to the voice of the commonweal. Because they felt it is not the popular voice at the moment. Then we know that Democracy no longer exists here.

These so-called guardians of the US Constitution refused to allow investigations into the allegations of "An Internal Conspiracy" behind the September 11-2001, World Trade Center disaster.

The popular view is, that the evidence provided by all agencies involved with the investigation was inadequate, insufficient, and does not answer several major concerns of the victim's relatives.

The Obama Administration chose to set a precedent, by looking the other way, not being bothered to have such investigations. So the Supreme Court justices chose to do the same. They FEAR challenging the FBI, The CIA, and The Pentagon.

I guess their lives, livelihood, and careers was the concern. So by not giving the approval for another thorough investigation, they are in fact saying, "I see no wrong doing, therefore, the need for any further investigation is un-warranted,"

However, George W. Bush may be out of The White House, but his policies and political mentality is very much Alive & Well therein!

Recently I received a opinion solicitation from my area Local Post Office, asking for my opinion about their services, and how it would effect me if the local branch on Hudson Street-Greenwich Village-New York City, if it is closed.

I subsequently had a personal discussion with an employee at that branch, and she told me the following.

* She suspects that some internal Re-structuring will take place, and jobs will be lost

* Or that privatization may be in the works too, to allow for greater efficiency, and revenue earnings.

* And lastly, the institution is internally corrupt, mis-managed, and lacks the technology to compete with the Internet, and the lost revenues that this medium has taken from them.

Therefore, I wonder if the Federal government is contemplating privatization of this institution, or re-structuring it to become more efficient, technologically up to date, and managed more efficiently.

President Obama there is no EL Qaeda threat in Afghanistan for us to worry about. They are the Taliban, and they are Afghans. So we are Currently killing Afghans. And that is why we MUST leave NOW.

Let Governor General Karzai deal with the insurrectionists, this is not our war any longer. This is the view of many journalists that visit there regularly, and from Afghans themselves, when questioned.

What we are actually fighting are the Pashtun elements that identify with the Taliban's view of Islam and Jihadism. And some elements within the Taliban's dispirit groups in Afghanistan that are in it for several reasons, these being the following.

* To seek and destroy all foreign elements therein.

* To wage war against all foreign military forces from within their territories.

* To ensure that Islam is not compromised by any western concept of Governance via Western Democratic Principles, which totally conflicts with Islamic teachings.

* And to remove the Karzai government that was the brainchild, and has the support of the USA and her allies in Afghanistan.

Why Are We Still There?

The US went in to destroy EL Qaeda elements, Prevent Safe Havens, and Destroy Terror Training Camps. This was achieved some seven years ago, when EL Qaeda, (the Taliban's guests) were defeated.

Since then billions of US dollars, in munitions, hardware, infrastructure development, national security training, wages for Afghan Military and Police Forces, and payments of Compensation to Civilians for lives lost.

Which incidentally, are in the thousands, and growing daily.

Therefore, sending thousands more of US military personnel, will only INCREASE, (and this is also very likely to happen), the volume of American lives lost and maimed therein.

Even N.A.T.O.'S representation is dwindling at the moment, causing some concern among other nations, as to our End Game or Strategy in Afghanistan. This concern is also growing within the confines of the USA.

BRING our military HOME from Afghanistan by this year's end Mr. president. Or you will surely loose the vast majority of those YOUNG people who are dying there, and those millions who have supported you during the campaign for sure.

And I will harbor a guess at this time, that if you persist in keeping American troops there, and does not heed the call of Americans at home and abroad. You will regret it come the next general election!

I would like to commend president Obama for his decision to rescind the above idea. However, we must also not allow the current unknown nuclear potential of Iran, to cause us to do the same thing that we wanted to do in Europe. But erecting Radar Systems to monitor Iran's supposedly Nuclear threats.

I have been monitoring these issues for several years now, and cannot fathom the rationale for Iran to want to use nuclear missiles on Israel or any other Middle Eastern country. When the USA has an ally like Israel with nuclear capability, and could intercept any incoming missiles, and destroy them un-route from that country.

I also understand the political necessity for the president to do this right now. But I also know that it was a sensible and wise decision he has made, to re-focus our efforts to more tried and tested methods for protecting our allies and homeland.

The haters are currently re-iterating their hateful lies once more, that president Obama is the Anti-Christ. Whatever that means or is?

And this obviously contradicts the ruling of the US Supreme Court acknowledging that he is an American citizen, that was born in the state of Hawaii.

So if he is indeed the Anti-Christ, then it infers that those nine Supreme Court Judges are also Anti Christ, for confirming his citizenship and nationality. Thus paving the way for the Advent of The Anti-Christ in America.

I have listened to Senator Barack Obama speak about Community Service initiatives by the Federal Government, that encourages High Schoolers, College kids, Seniors, Juniors, Retirees, and anyone with special skills that they would like to share with the community.

* To get involved in providing voluntary contributions in schools, churches, community organizations, overseas, and any place they feel they would like to serve.

* This ideal could also be facilitated to HIV patients who have lived or survived this pandemic:

* Have been taking the prescribed medications, and have personally known and experienced all the side effects of these medications. Which makes them eligible to advocate for Federal, State, and City funding for improved prevention, and to facilitate where necessary, with some "per-diem" emoluments.

* For their willingness to make themselves available to train, impart, and facilitate HIV Infected People's Groups, Gender Identity issues, and Stigma relating to HIV infection, Family issues, Sexual and Gender identity issues.

*And helping them to access the services for people living with HIV, as it relates to language differences, gender identity, and sexual preferences.

All of these areas are ready to provide qualified personnel to assist the Federal, State, and City government's commissions and committees that would organize, facilitate, and provide such personnel, training, and advocacy, whenever and wherever the need arise.

FINALLY:

I am ready and willing also to get on board any committee that initiates programs for training advocates to petition political representatives, petition political representatives for more HIV and related funding needs, providing some per-diem can be provided, which will assist in transportation, accommodation, and other out of pocket needs, when involved in any of these programs.

There is a BIG difference between Jobs and Employment in context. So let me explain these definitions.

What Is a Job:

A Job could be a contract of service for a specified period of time. For example, a contract to fix a broken pipeline.

* A contract to sell some items or merchandise, until that commodity is exhausted.

* A politician being elected to office for a period of time, and at the end, if he or she does not qualify for another term, the voters elect someone else for that position. The presidency is a case in point.

* A person who does temporary work:

* No healthcare benefits:

* No vacation leave with pay:

* No maternity leave with pay, or sick leave with pay:

What is Employment?

* Career possibilities, because there is room or opportunity for upward mobility:

* Promotion, on the job and training for upward mobility.

* Health benefits:

* Vacation leave with pay:

* Maternity leave with pay:

* Retirement benefits or plans:

* And permanency or longevity.

So tell your elected representatives to STOP promising us JOBS, because EMPLOYMENT is what we want and need currently!

Former George W. Bush Officials May Eventually Be Brought To Justice!

Some of George W. Bush's attorneys who wrote directives on how to torture prisoners and get away with it legally, are now being petitioned for a pardon. Yes, the Attorney General now has too decide whether an investigation into the conduct of those attorneys is warranted. And who were responsible for the torture memos, and who their superior's were, that gave those orders in The White House.

Will the Attorney General have the guts to follow through on this expectation of most Americans polled?

We will have to wait and see! But the president said publicly that he will not pre-judge how his Attorney General will deal with this evidence!

However, CNN's polling of Americans seem to suggest the following:

* Most Americans do not want those CIA operatives and other Intelligence personnel, who actually carried out the orders to torture prisoners litigated.

* But most Americans polled wanted the The White House Officials who gave the order in writing to carry out those torture directives, be brought to justice, regardless of who were involved.

Hate Crimes Bill ( H.R. 1913)

By a vote 249-175, the House last week passed H.R. 1913, a bill making it easier for law enforcement authorities to prosecute hate crimes.

Civil rights groups and liberal clergy members from all 50 states are fanning out across Capitol Hill this week to lobby for the legislation in an attempt to counter the notion, advanced by socially Clergy Lobbies for Passage of Hate Crimes Bill conservative groups, that religious leaders are uniformly opposed to the measure.

Although a majority of Senators are almost certainly in favor of the legislation, the question is whether supporters can win the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster that conservatives may launch to kill the bill. President Barack Obama has said he will sign the measure into law if it lands on his desk.

Wars are only won, when TWO armies try to out maneuver each other tactically, and strategically, thus ending in victory for one of them, or surrender for the loser.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan does not fit the classical war scenario, because the USA and her allies, are not combating any official national army or military.

Therefore, there can be no victory in Iraq or Afghanistan!

But at some point in time, the USA will have to come up with some solution for a total withdrawal from both of these camps, and declare publicly that our combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are completed according to plan.

This will save the US and her remaining allies, some much needed face!

For those of you who think he is not moving fast enough, or does not have a clue what he is doing.

I say, you are entitled to your own opinion.

However, the American electorate elected him with 53% of the national votes, to GOVERN, as per his promises. And that is what he is doing.

* The 780 Billion US Dollar National Rescue Initiative Stimulus Bill:

* The No Child Left Behind Funding Initiative Enactment:

* Added millions of US dollars for Medicaid Funding, to cover eleven million children without Healthcare coverage or access:

* The Equal Rights For Women In The Workplace Enactment/Bill:

* The Veteran's Act for College Grants for those who served over three years in the US military:

* The Stem Cell Research Funding via Executive Order:

* Eanctment of The Employee Free Choice Act, which caters for the recognition of a collective bargaining agent for employees, secret ballot, and voluntary union conscription at the workplace:

* A White House Council for Women & Girls:

* Meeting with EU leaders at the G-20 summit recently, and getting them to sign a consensual agreement for financial assistance in the vicinity of three trillion dollars, for the global financial crisis stabilization:

* Meeting with our South-Central & North American Leadership, making amends for past grievances with the US policies, and setting the stage for improved trade/relations with the entire continent:

* Releasing some classified documents that validate that some forms of torture was done by the CIA, with the consent of the George W. Bush White House administration:

* And authorizing the killing of those three pirates, that captured an American Commercial/Humanitarian ship in the Somali sea.

I Support Legislation To Curb Credit Card Fraud Now!

This nation of ours (The USA), survives and thrives economically via Credit Card's accepting business facilities. Almost every American of legal age has one. And their is hardly any organization, business, insurance agency, or financial institution, that does not require it's clients to be holders of credit cards and a Credible Credit History.

When I came to this country I was told that having good credit will determine how much credit you can access. And when you don't have any credit history, chances are, most businesses, insurance companies, or banks, would hesitate to grant you any credit, because of it.

And I asked the following question of my friend at that time!

Wouldn't allowing someone to access credit at anytime, even if he or she cannot afford that items/s, or does not have the equity to guarantee such credit, asking for serious fraudulent behavior?

And he told me in response, that credit is the American way of doing business, and everyone is expected to have some form of credit history to get ahead in this country.

The current national and international economic crisis validates my concerns about credit gone mad!

So the question now is, can we abolish or regulate the amount of credit per person by law?

I would suggest that no one should be allowed credit over his or her annual income. Unless he or she is wealthy, or has assets that can be used as equity for any loss or default on his or her remittances. Having such ceilings established by law, would allow most credit card holders, especially those within the lower income brackets, the most vulnerable, the elderly, and gullible, to monitor their credit ability at any time.

Having this knowledge recorded in a national Credit Card data base, will also help any organization that provides credit to clients as part of their business, to check that person's ability to pay.

So I am for any legislation that would allow the above to be made law!

What Is A Bad Bank?

The new definition of a Bad Bank are the following:

Those banks that have lost millions or billions on TOXIC loans or Investments, can have these loans shuntered off into a Bad Bank or (Toxic Loans Clearing House), which will buy those toxic loans at current price.

Most of which will be very much lower in value, from the time they were sold or given.

So the Banks that held these TOXIC loans will now be FREE to get New Capital from the State's Treasury (on Loan), to start lending once again, and providing loans to it's customers.

In time, when the economy recovers, those TOXIC loans at the Bad Banks or (TOXIC Loans Clearing House), will SELL those loans on the open market for less that they cost at the outset.

Some of these will accrue Profit from those sales.

Other sales will incur a Loss too.

From the new TOXIC sales that have accrued profit, the bank will pay this money back to the banks it came from, for them to eventually repay the State, for the loans they got for those TOXIC acommodations.

President Obama's administration through the Department Of Justice, will not charge any CIA officer that indulged in torture, during the George W. Bush administration.

This decision may cause some head hunters on the left to get all fired up and angry. But I imagine that president Obama needs these same CIA officials or officers, to operate in his new administration.

Most of which have experience ands skills that are needed in the fight against terrorism internationally.

However, if we allow anger, vengeance, and payback for any wrong doing, some of these officials may have undertaken, then we may be forfeiting ourselves the benefit of some potential assets, that are vitally needed at this time.

Politically, this may be a grave dis-appointment for many Obama supporters, some of whom was waiting for a change of administration to get even!

So let us see how supporters from every strata and affiliation, will behave in the next three years general elections.

As I see it, the US Justice Dept,. via the Attorney General should have been allowed to have an investigation into who in the line of authority, gave the direct orders for torture to be done on prisoners.

Did the Attorney General raise this concern with the president?

Or did the president suggest to the US Attorney General not to pursue any investigation that would lead to prosecution. Whatever it is, a precedent has already been established, and if no legal Proceedings are brought against any alleged torturer.

Then what is to prevent some future president or administration, repeating this scenario
once again?

If the pirates continue to show no regard for an ocean going vessel, regardless of whether that or those vessels are delivering Food Aid to Africa, or any African country.

Then I say, STOP delivering food there NOW!

If these pirates are going to hold those states that are desperately in need of food hostage, then let them STARVE.

When starvation really start causing the deaths of thousands of their own people, then I guess they will see the light and desist such activities.

And those African states that chose to sit idle by, and not intervene to help or protect ships in that region. I say to them too, that when the pirates are no longer able to attack ships successfully, they will turn upon their own governments and people to plunder.

So if these African states and governments in that region, does not make deliberate efforts to thwart piracy, their bases on shore, and their leadership, by killing them whenever they are captured, or caught indulging in piracy.

Today three pirates were killed, one captured, and the US Captain hostage saved from capture.

Sincere praise go to the FBI, and the US Navy Seals, that were engaged in this rescue effort.

And I also extend to president Obama my regards for his expressed concern about this incident.

However, international mercantile efforts MUST be formulated to deal with this Terror on the High Seas.

Furthermore, I hope that the pirates of Somalia are watching, and would re-consider ever trying to capture another American Mercantile or Military vessel again.

Recently some members of The Black Caucus went on a fact finding visit to Cuba, but did not do a thorough or in depth evaluation of the socio-political climate therein.

The United States trades with China, even though it is still A Communist Dictatorship, and Human Right's abuses still obtain therein:

* Freedom Of Speech and The Media, is still controlled and policed by the state;

* Political Prisoners are still being incarcerated, tortured, and killed on a daily basis.

* And Freedom Of Religion, (those not sanctioned or approved by the state), is curtailed, and their followers harassed, and imprisoned.

* The Dalai Lama's movement, and the FULAN GONG movement are cases in point!

But yet, the USA still allows trade, travel, and diplomatic relations with that state.

What Did The Black Caucus Achieved?

As far as I heard them explained. They seem to feel that meeting with Fidel Castro, his Brother, and other family members, was a big deal. They also seem to feel that the social climate is fine in that country too.

But they never sought to meet with any Anti-Communist/Dictatorship political advocate, or Agitator, Anti-Government Controlled Media representatives either, nor did they enquire about the political prisoners (in the hundreds), that are imprisoned there?

This to my mind was a huge dis-appointment for us all in this country (USA), and makes it absolutely necessary for the Obama administration to ensure that any dialogue he intends to re-establish with Cuba, contains the following agenda.

* The releasing of political prisoners.

* The Establishing of Freedom Of The Press, and other Media.

*Freedom To Assemble, Petition for or against National Policy by the masses.

*And Freedom To Travel out of Cuba for all citizens, who are not criminals, or fugitives of Cuba.

* Re-establishing Trade with Cuba, and allowing money transfers from Cuban exiles here, to their relatives over there.

If we can get Cuba to comply with most of the above agenda items, then we would have made a significant improvement in our relations with Cuba and the Cuban government.

It seems like those classified documents from the past seven years of the George W. Bush administration has finally been released, or is expected to be released soon. Some insiders claim that there are very graphic or grisly portrayals of torture recommended, implemented, and practiced, that may warrant legal retribution for several past officials of the recent past administration.

Releasing this information may also cause some embarrassment for some of our allies, some of whom allowed Renditions on their shores, for the facilitating of interrogative methods, some of which today is categorized as torture.

Do we want this revelation to be made public, after president Barack Obama said repeatedly, that he intends to turn the page, and not get bogged down with the past ills, with this current economic crisis at hand!

However, if or when these documents become public, the American people must be prepared to face some very harsh facts, about our elected leadership in Washington-DC, and whether pursuing this vendetta or judicial end, will solve anything, much less prevent it from happening again.

* And finally, how could people who are crooked, and gained handsomely in fraudulent acts, be allowed to continue managing our financial institutions, because the White House executive seemingly, does not want the American Commonweal to know the TRUE volume or magnitude if the financial demise of our Banking Institutions?

These questions MUST be addressed NOW, or will be one of the negatives that will be used in a few years against this administration's re-election desire!

Mr.Wagner now former CEO of General Motors was dismissed by the Obama administration for failing to deliver as was expected.

It is still not clear if on the presidents orders, he was asked to remove himself from the helm of General Motors.

Now the local media is asking if the administration is injecting itself, in running the business community, and this spells trouble for the Free Market System, that we have been accustomed to, and was using for decades now.

This idiotic and provocative view of those at CNN.com, MSNBC, and elsewhere, by using this scenario of arbitrary injection and control of GM, fail to tell or remind the American people the following.

General Motors is now under the Federal Government's control and supervision, by virtue of receiving taxpayers money, and the State having the majority stake/interest therein.

Therefore, I suggest that you tell Mr. Wolfe of CNN, David Schuster of MSNBC.com, and others to tell the truth, and stop misleading viewers about the REAL facts of this issue!

I have been following the manner in which president Obama conducts his meet the press face ups. And have seen how he calls on reporters who are already on some list he has on the podium.

Well, if this is the preferred method of holding Press Conferences, then there can be no spontaneous questions, some of which may be very necessary or essential, for viewers not present there, to have asked on their behalf.

And it also subscribes to the view that everyone must at least get a fair chance at asking the Commander In Chief, and our elected representative in The White House, any question he/she feel needs to be asked.

If there is a preference for certain reporter's questions over others, that infers favoritism, and MUST never be allowed to continue.

Therefore, I call upon president Barack H. Obama, and his White House Press Secretary, Chief Whip, and all those responsible for arranging meetings with the press, to CEASE making pre-selected choices for questions, and OPEN the floor for questions from anyone who is qualified to be, there as a reporter in the people's interests.

As I see it, most developed countries in NATO, the US and the UK, have military aircraft that can be launched in seconds to defend large geographic air spaces from incoming missiles. These aircraft have missiles attached to them as part of their defense systems, and can intercept and destroy any missiles incoming, or missile sites if need be.

So why should the US and NATO be contemplating the erection of any 'Radar Defense System' for incoming missiles, in Europe or anywhere around the world?

This to my mind is an act of aggression, in terms of extending one's military power, and aggressive abilities anywhere around the globe. Regardless of how it will be perceived by other nations that feel threatened.

If we should continue along this path, then we are giving those developing countries like Iran, Syria, Israel, North Korea, and others, the right to contemplate sophisticated systems to combat any threat or perceived threat to their territories or allies.

I strongly advocate for the neutralizing of any such treaty, or intent to negotiate any such treaty between any nation or region.

Especially the USA. Because to continue along this line will inevitably result in the quest for more defense systems, or aggressive systems by all those nations that feel vulnerable to the big powers today!

Could The Obama Administration Recoup The 120 Million Dividend Payout From AIG?

I don't think that the Obama administration has a valid legal case with AIG, in terms of recouping the 120 million dollar dividends.

Because that was a 'contract of service' that these recipients had with AIG. And asking the recipients to give back or not receive these dividends will be a violation of that contract.

As I see it, if that aspect of the contract was there before the State became the majority stake holder of AIG, then those dividends will have to be re-negotiated, or declared null and void. Because
(I presume), that there would have been the expectation of the Obama administration, that AIG, as recipients of the Public's Money, would not use same to indulge in any monetary transactions that would imply, that they were irresponsible managers of the Public Money or Public trust.

Finally, the recipients of the dividends (if they haven't received it as yet), can refuse to do so, or accept half or part of that payout voluntarily. But it up to them to decide.

Incidentally, stock brokers income are also called dividends. This is just like working from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on a daily basis. But instead, are paid for their skill at bringing in revenue for their client's investments!

Any action to recoup any dividend payouts might entail a lengthy legal battle with (AIG or the State) vs AIG's clients.

Israel must not be allowed to decide if or when the Palestinians are allowed to create their own state, alongside Israel. Because historically, the USA and her Arab allies seem to feel that without the consent of the Israeli's, Palestine will never become a sovereign state.

If the Obama administration is truly committed in this regard, then the new policy towards Palestine and Israel must reflect a new approach to this question. And must never be construed as business as usual.

Currently, Nathan Yahoo's political inability to form a coalition is still up in the air. And he is very Conservative, which means that he may not be inclined to approve a Palestinian State. Because his position on this issue has never been genuine.

Until the Obama administration have talks DIRECTLY with Hamas. Any Palestinian State is unlikely,
if the Palestinians are still divided politically, and regionally.

President Obama, I have watched, listened, and heard you say that financial assistance will be given via The Rescue Plan/Package to ordinary Americans and hard working people. Many of whom have lost their jobs, homes, and are unable to pay their college tuitions, mortgages, and other daily houshold espenses.

But yet, millions of Americans and other 'would be' American citizens, who are receiving Public Assistance locally, have not received any Federal Assistance from the outset from the First Rescue Package that was passed under George W. Bush, nor do I see any coming to us P.R.U.C.O.L.,or (un-documented) residents this time around.

We are here, have been here for years awaiting Federal Legal Residence Status approval, still have to eat, pay our bills (somehow), and are the ones who have no way to turn for any help or financial assistance in this crisis.

I can also envisage that with this crisis, no Immigration Legislation that would cater to our needs and status is afoot, or may never even be considered either. Even though thousands of us have campaigned, volunteered, and advocated for you all throughout the campaign for the presidency. Online, at your campaign headquarters nationwide, and anyway we felt it necessary to get out the vote.

But yet, after all of this work and anticipation for a better lot for us, we are being overlooked once again. And this Rescue Plan does cater to us either!

I am worried, insulted, and apprenhensive for our collective future, as this crisis gets worse.

Currently many South Americans, Mexicans, and others, have been repatriated to their homelands, via Immigration sweeps at some job sites. Some are thrown out of homes or apartments they are renting with family and freinds, because they can no longer afford to pay the rent.

So what about us Mr.President!

At 10:48 p.m., the Senate passed the bill by a vote of 60-38, with all Democrats and Independents voting for the bill along with three Republicans.[6]

The remaining thirty-eight Republican senators voted against the bill. (Due to his illness, Senator Edward M. Kennedy-D Massachusetts was unable to vote; there is one Senate vacancy, for Minnesota.)[7][8]
Based largely on broad proposals made by President Barack Obama, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is intended to provide a stimulus to the U.S. economy in the wake of the economic downturn brought about by the subprime mortgage crisis and the resulting credit crunch.

President Barack H. Obama MUST decide soon to end our military activities in Afghanistan. Because as I see it currently, the internal strife, insurrections, suicide bombings, and governmental corruption will continue to inhibit any military gains there. Coupled with the limited coalition forces that are militarily involved in combat.

Hamid Karzai'a government is CURRUPT. And the Taliban is gaining strength all over the country, because Afghans are hungry, un-employed en masse, threatened with torture and death if they fail to heed the Taliban, and the government cannot provide national security for the entire country, not even in Kabul.

Those countries that have sent meagre military personnel there, most of which are not involved in tracking Taliban and Al Qaeda elements or terrorists, are of little or no help there. And the president will have to decide very soon, if the US can withstand the bulk of this military mission there, without substantial military involvement in combat, against the Taliban and other insurgent groups.

If the president waits too long to decide how much longer are we going to stay there, then it is possible that Afghanistan will be another Iraq in dimension. Because the Taliban cannot be trusted to come on board with security. Their principal aim is to take back Afghanistan, and rule it under Wahabism.

And continue to kill, beat, and maim the Afghan women for wanting to be educated, and equality under the law.

I envisage thousands of US military personnel deaths in the weeks and months to come. With the 4000 US deaths already in Iraq, how much more are we going to sacrifice, in this ridiculous war in Afghanistan. That country will never become a democracy. Their history does not cater to any central governance either.

So any intention to rule Afghanistan from a Centralized government, is wishful thinking and detrimental to our military personnel there.

As I see it, if we continue to speculate how or when those toxic loans in the banks will be resolved. I feel that they may never be reconciled, or sold to any realistic investor.

Because they are TOXIC, and the baggage and time it will take to gain traction, much less any income from such loans is un-imaginable at this time.

So the best way to encourage TRUST in the market now, is to WRITE OFF those bad debts, and start afresh.

The banks MUST write off those debts from it's books, and start all over again with credibility and adequate supervision, coupled with Federal Regulation and oversight.

This is to my mind, is the best way to move forward at this time!

George W. Bush was keen to promote the concept of a shield or missile defense system somewhere in Europe, to combat any first strike from Russia (supposedly). This missile detect system is supposed to alert N.A.T.O of any incoming missile threat, necessitating a quick response to that threat.

This to my mind is playing into the un-warranted fear from the Cold War era, when the Soviets were alleged to be creating missiles that could reach US territories, and the USA had to be prepared to combat that threat. This un-warranted fear from both sides proved to be very wrong, after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and the end of The Cold War era.

Will president Barack H. Obama allow himself to be sucked into this paranoid military mindset, within the Pentagon and her allies in N.A.T.O. Or are we going to seriously consider how un-realistic this idea would be, if we intend to foster better or improved diplomatic relations with Russia, and the former Soviet block or allies too.

If we allow ourselves to be sucked into this war mongering mentality, then we would have accepted George W. Bush's idea, and thus continue business as usual in our foreign policy with Russia.

I strongly suggest that the Obama administration do not even consider, building or contributing to any missile defense system in Europe.

Because this conflicts with NATO's role in that regard, and makes NATO seem irrelevant, if not unwanted!

When the IMF or The World Bank lends money to developing countries, they stipulate how, what, and where these funds MUST be spent.

With rigid oversight too!

Therefore, if The US Federal government is asked or is expected to rescue or bailout these BIG banks and Insurance companies that have made some very grave and irresponsible decisions in their internal finances, lending practices, and executive emoluments.

Then it is incumbent upon the Treasury Dept. to expect that all Top Executives follow strict guidelines pertaining to personal emoluments or salaries. Failing to do so, gives these executives and private institutions, carte blanche for their irresponsible actions.

When the ordinary man or woman in mainstream America, that have erred on their mortgage payments, loose their homes, and not get any compensation from the Federal Government.

So insisting that all recipients of Federal monies follow some strict and regulated guidelines as per their salaries, is justified at this time!

It is now high time for both of these political camps to unite for the common good, progress, and survival of all Palestinians. The continuous infighting, murder, and disunity between you, will not serve any of your separate interests in the long term.

As you continue to divide and rule your supporters or sympathizers, and continues to fight among yourselves. Israel will continue doing or acting arbitrarily, without any regard for how the international community views them.

And they will always say to the international community, that they are fighting terror!

So here are a few suggestions that I believe will pave the way towards Palestinian unity, and finally sovereignty.

* HAMAS MUST declare publicly that they accept Israel as a sovereign nation, and has no designs to obliterate them.

* FATAH MUST seek to incorporate HAMAS in the political processes, in order for any unity to take place.

* There must be consorted efforts on both sides, to seek unity, in order to govern Palestinians from both regions, under a political system that recognizes both political camps, and respects each other's right to seek converts or supporters voluntarily, and without threats or coercion.

* HAMAS MUST seek to repair the breech with FATAH as quickly as possible, and declare it's intention to join FATAH in a united political administration, which would strive to ensure that the democratic process is maintained, and that political checks are put in place for a peaceful transition of governance, after any democratic election is held.

FINALLY:

Until there is unity between HAMAS and FATHA, the international community will be unable to work effectively, or support both camps effectively, in times of crisis, and military aggression.

Until as I said before, HAMAS declare and incorporate in it's constitution a clause, that declares they have no designs to eradicate the state of Israel. Then and only then, will the international community of nations know, they are truly serious about a Palestinian state. And would be more willing to assist in every way to bring this about!.

The American people gave you 53% of the vote this year. This was done for the following reasons:

* To rid Washington DC of time wasting, and get The People's Business done.

* And not allow the same old pussy footing, partisan politics, and filibustering from preventing
anything meaningful from getting done.

Now we are seeing a replay of the same old political partisan politics with the 825 billion stimulus package. And I get the impression that you Mr. president, along with the Democrats in both houses seem to feel, that you have to appease the Republicans, regardless of how watered down the stimulus package will eventually become.

Just to show how much you are for 'working with Republicans,' or reaching across the aisle!

This delay, indecisiveness, and ridiculous appeasement, may cause you to lose whatever political credit that you are still enjoying eventually!

After 9/11, George W. Bush urged Americans to go shopping, and not let the terrorists win by cowering in fear. But the economy continued to move downhill, fueled by crocked stock brokers, mortgage scams, and Federal "Out Of Control" spending.

So What Difference Would The Stimulus Package Make In The Short Term?

* If this package is managed wisely, and with transparency, rigid oversight, and regulatory controls, the possibility of a turnaround may be realized.

* Mortgage holders, foreclosures and bankers, MUST be given some financial assistance.

* Limited tax reductions MUST be allowed to small businesses, with provisions for loans from banks, included for overheads, retooling costs, internal growth and productivity, and for the creation of employment.

* All working class people (especially the lower and lowest) income brackets, MUST be given some financial help or stimulus. And encouraged to spend some on household essentials.
Long Term Benefits:

* States should allocated funds that would create employment across the board.

* Essential infrastructure/repairs to Bridges, City and Freeway projects, should also be considered.

* Targeted businesses, including 'Startups' must also be used as a way to stimulate and dispense funding to essential areas of industry, and service oriented enterprises.

Definitions of TORTURE:

* The deliberate, systematic, or wanton infliction of physical or mental suffering by one or more persons in an attempt to force another person to yield information or to make a confession or for any other reason:

So what kinds of torture are we referring to, in relation to how we treat prisoners that are terror suspects?

America Does Not Condone Torture!

This is the view and contention of president Barack H. Obama, in relation to torture. But what is still not clear to us all, is what aspect of torture do we condone, and what we do not condone, in relation to prisoners that are incarcerated for terrorist activities, at home and abroad.

Until some CLEARLY spelled out explanation is given to the American people about torture, this issue will continue to be debated online, via the media, and any forum where this issue is of some concern.

Today the president (Barack H. Obama) reiterated that Guantanamo Bay facility will be closed within one to two years. But in the interim, a special committee was selected to make the following recommendations about who and what action/s take, to facilitate habeas corpus for those prisoners therein.

* The volume of prisoners to be allowed due process currently. This includes the length of time served therein already.

* Who would be considered a threat to America at home or abroad, if released and sent to their home countries.

* Those who are foreign combatants/terrorists, and can be sent back to their respective countries for habeas corpus, without fear of arbitrary punishment or death.

* What types of legal processes will be necessary for each category of prisoner.

* Who are eligible to get habeas corpus as US citizens currently.

* And those whose nationality cannot be determined.

FINALLY:

It is my belief that any prisoner or prisoners who do not fit any of the above profiles or qualifications. MUST be incarcerated here in the USA. In some facility specially constructed for such prisoners.

This (to my mind) is necessary in the (war on terror). And should be modeled after current US prisons that provide the same security precautions, and other infrastructure, that ENSURES that TORTURE is NEVER used in any interrogation process.

President elect Barack Obama was asked in an interview with John King-CNN a anchor today, the following question:

* When will the bleeding stop?

This was in relation to the state of the economy.

Barack Obama answered in his accustomed manner with a speech, that did not answer the question asked at all.

Question:

Is it so difficult for our next president to answer a question with a direct reply, to the point, and honestly?

Why couldn't president elect Barack Obama say, "I Don't know. Nobody knows that answer. But I sincerely hope that with the stimulus packages that are in the process of getting passed. We hope will speed up the process to recovery very soon."

Is this too much for our next president to say?

What To Do With Captured Enemy Combatants!

We have seen under the George W. Bush administration, the creation of The Guantanamo Bay prison for enemy combatants or terrorists, caught during our war on terror worldwide. But there have been concerns with the incarceration of some of these alleged combatants, who may never have actually done something to validate guilt. But may have associated with, advocated for, or said things that inspired or encouraged terrorists acts against the USA, her interests, or allies abroad.

Such prisoners may not qualify to be treated like American Citizens in a Civil Court under US jurisdiction. But still have to face some form of habeas corpus for their alleged crimes. And this poses some complications as to where such trials will take place, and under what jurisdiction it would it be legally feasible to do.

So I have decided to submit some suggestions in that regard.
Enemy Combatants:

* If someone deemed an enemy combatant is captured in the field of war, or in any terrorist act abroad, or in a foreign country. That person is subject to that country's legal jurisprudence first.

* If such proceedings are not possible for that or those individuals. Then it is incumbent upon the US military officials in concert with The State Department, to seek the expulsion of that or those combatants, to be brought to the USA for such legal proceedings.

* Foreign enemy combatants that are already housed in the Guantanamo Bay facility, must be allowed legal counsel of some sort.

Be it military, or civil. And be tried by some military tribunal or civilian appointed magistrates or judges, in a setting similar to that of our local judicial system. So that at least the perception of due process is followed and practiced.

* Those combatants that have served more than five years already in Guantanamo Bay facility, and have not been given due process as yet. MUST be allowed same very soon, under any of the above scenarios.

And if found guilty, imprisoned in a special facility somewhere within the USA, that is appropriate and secured for such prisoners.

* Finally, every attempt MUST be made by the military in consort with The State Department, to consult with our allies in the war on terrorism, about the possibility of incarceration and due process, for any of their citizens captured, while indulging in terrorist acts.

Because that is the responsible thing to do in this war on terror. And will be expected of them at this time.

FINALLY:

Every effort must be made to expedite the closure of Guantanamo Bay prison facility, within the first two years of President Barack Obama's administration.

How Do You Define Special Interests?

I need someone to explain what is meant by Special Interests. In relation to president elect Barack Obama's Stimulus Package, and his expectation that no 'Air Marks' would be allowed in this package.

However, as far as I am aware, special interests are what any elected representative tries to include, or put in, in a piece of legislation for his or her state. As a matter of fact, every elected official (be it the City-State or Federal), is expected to represent his or her constituency.

It is also expected that in so doing, he or she must never allow any organizational Lobbyist to influence his or her decisions, to the point where they get TOP PRIORITY over those who elected that political representative to office.

This is where the definition MUST be made QUITE CLEAR, in terms of the 'people's interest', vs the private commercial or wealthy donor to the campaign, of a particular political representative.

Favors can sometimes get in the way of what should be the PRIORITY of that elected representative!

Therefore, in relation to the Stimulus Package that president elect Barack Obama has proposed, and expects to be devoid of AIR MARKS.

How possible is it for him to expect that all Congress And Senate Representatives, will ignore their own constituencies, to accommodate his proposals, without bargaining for some form of Air Mark, for his or her constituency.

Should this expectation be realized for Barack Obama, then it would indeed be a TRUE TURNING Of The PAGE on PRIORITIES, that the people expect to be honored!

Barack Obama declared yesterday that only unprecedented and urgent government spending could prevent the deepening recession stretching for years into the future.

Eleven days before taking office, the US President-elect said that he was entering his presidency "in the midst of a crisis unlike any we have seen in our lifetime". The "day of reckoning" had arrived, he said, and the risks of "doing too little or nothing at all" were even greater than those of allowing a federal deficit – already projected to reach the record figure of $1.2 trillion – to spiral on into the years to come. Mr Obama used his first major policy speech since his election to call on Congress to act quickly on his request to pump hundreds of billions of dollars into the American economy. He said that figures to be released today would reveal that the United States lost more jobs last year than at any time since the Second World War.

"At this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe," Mr Obama said. "Only government can break the vicious cycles that are crippling our economy." Mr Obama’s speech was his most outspoken public pitch so far for his massive spending plan. It was the frankest recognition of his belief in the role of government to save the economy.

The President-elect’s words were strongly welcomed by Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling as clear evidence of a growing world consensus that governments must support their economies with fiscal injections.

A Downing Street official said: "We agree with every word of his call for action. You need to take action and you need to take action now to avoid a much deeper and longer recession." Mr Obama’s pledge came as British interest rates were cut to 1.5 per cent, their lowest level in history. But only around half of borrowers will benefit and savers will be hit by another cut in returns on their investments. Nissan yesterday announced the loss of 1,200 jobs at its Sunderland plant, the worst day for the car industry in its present crisis. The factory was once the most productive car plant in Europe.

Mr Brown travels to Berlin for talks with Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, next week as she appears ready to announce another €50 billion (£45 billion) stimulus for its economy. The Prime Minister, who chaired a Cabinet meeting in Liverpool yesterday and pledged fresh measures to bolster the British economy, is also due to meet Ben Bernanke, the head of the US Federal Reserve, next week.

The Prime Minister believes that Mr Obama’s action will boost public confidence in his own package of spending and tax cuts and improve the chances of the British initiatives bearing fruit.

Barack Obama's Personal Black Berry Phone Dilemma!

ATTENTION:

Historically, the president of The United States are expected to follow security protocol when it comes to communication via personal mail, telex, and now the Internet.

Not withstanding the current president elect's promise to keep his ears to the ground, to keep personally in touch with the national constituency, and others that he feels the need to contact personally, without going through the White House Security protocol arrangement.

It is also common knowledge that The President of the USA, Russia, Israel, France, and Germany may have direct communication via telephone with the president of the USA, should an emergency arise, and that kind of person to person contact is needed.

So why should president elect Barack Obama be expected to discard his personal Black Berry phone, for some (so called) security reasons.

I am certain that some technology is now available, to provide this need to the president without being compromised or hacked into.

Should this be made available to Pres. Barack Obama, I am sure he would be pleased, and it would also give him some more external access and views, as per how he is doing, or how his policies are impacting ordinary Americans, without prior confirmation and monitoring!

A Public Apology Is Owed To Mr. Roland Burris!

Mr. Roland Burris said the Senate majority leader Harry Reid, asked about his credentials, his family, his love for his country USA, etc..

But what I find appalling is the following.

* Mr. Roland Burris is the only Black American Senator to follow Barack Obama in Washington-DC.

* Mr Burris is fully qualified to fill that vacant seat left by president elect Barack Obama, to represent the State Of Illinois.

* Mr. Burris does not have to please anyone in the senate, regardless of their seniority, to qualify for that position.

* Mr. Burris was nominated by the current governor of Illinois to that position.

Though he may not have been the preferred candidate for that seat.

* However, he was chosen by the governor, he is fully qualified for the job, and he does not have any known legal proceeding or malfeasance allegations about his character, or political office, or political activities.

So when senate majority leader Harry Read said that he (Mr. Burris) was a "nice man" in his comments about their meeting. I feel that was ethnically condescending, irrelevant, snobbish, and self righteous.

Imagine the only Black American candidate for the US senate, being SHUT OUT from entering the Senate floor, by all of the White Senators. Because of their own ridiculous historical, and traditional practice. Which has no Constitutional or Legal bearing, to debar Mr. Burris from obtaining that senate seat.

This embarrassment does no auger well for the Democrats, in light of the president elect political promise and agenda, of TURNING THE PAGE on the MINDSET in Washington-DC.

I sincerely hope that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid APOLOGISES to Mr. Roland Burris publicly, for that inconvenience and national embarrassment, when this is all resolved.

A Proposed Statement For Barack Obama On The Israeli & Hamas Conflict:

The time has come for both parties to cease the fighting, bombings, and firing of missiles towards each other. At the current rate of fighting, more deaths will certainly ensue, and the Palestinians will be the ones to suffer the most at the end of this conflict.

I would advise Israel to STOP the incursion immediately, withdraw to the border of Gaza, initiate for a sustainable cease fire with HAMAS via any of the established negotiators or others, that would be eligible to mediate of the behalf of both Israel and HAMAS representatives.

* Israel you have made your point already!

* HAMAS, you cannot win this fight, not today, not tomorrow, or with any means that would allow Israel to respond militarily in the future.

Failing to take this advice may be unwise for all parties involved, especially the Palestinian civilians caught between the fighting and bombings!

Does The USA Really Need Israel's Headaches?

Israel has been \a staunch ally for the USA in the Middle East. And for this, she has been enjoying the privilege of the latest munitions and military technology from the USA, to ensure her sovereignty and national security.

But this privilege has been taken for granted by Israel for many years now, and she is behaving like a spoiled child that is never satisfied with playing in her own backyard, or with her own toys. So she takes away some of her neighbor's toys (or lands), and accuses that neighbor of being a spoil sport, and a cheat.

Hesbullah has embarrassed Israel in the conflict in Lebanon in 2006 very gravely. So the current unpopular Israeli government is using this new military incursion by them, to punish Hamas and the Palestinians in general for that loss and national embarrassment. And at the same time, testing the political appointee to The White House come January-20-2009.

President Elect Barack Obama said publicly and in Israel, that he believes that if his daughters lives are threatened by anyone, then he deserves the right to retaliate, (or words to that effect). He also told Israel that he agrees with them in responding to Hamas whenever Israel and her citizenry are being threatened with death via suicide bombs or missiles.

But will Barack Obama maintain his position on Israel when he assumes The White House?

Would his administration allow Israel to KILL Palestinians en masse, whenever missiles are being shot into it's territories or cities?

And would Barack Obama continue to follow his predecessor, sit quietly and do nothing, while Israel commits ethnic cleansing or mass genocide on the Palestinian people unabated?

Firstly, Barack Obama was not elected to UNITE this country. That unity was expected for the Democrats, after he had won the democratic nomination.

And as for the general election results. It seems like he has!

Secondly, Barack Obama's promise to the American people was to do the following:

* Make the Federal government MORE transparent in what it does for the general electorate.

* Working with all parties in the Congress and Senate (Republicans-Democrats and Independents) alike.

* Enact legislation that would deliver National Healthcare for all Americans.

* A New National Energy Policy, Green Jobs, Infrastructure repairs and Construction jobs, College Affordable Programs like Grants for High School Drop Outs and Under Achievers, and College tuition for the dis-enfranchised.

* A Comprehensive Immigration Bill that covers all who qualify, and desire to live and work here as tax paying residents and citizens.

* Ending the War in Iraq, and bringing home our active duty troops within 16 months to two years in office.

NEW UPDATES:

* With the current state of the national economy, the president elect will be sending a Stimulus Proposal to Congress, for the approval of billions of dollars to 'Jump Start' the economy.

This (according to Barack Obama & his transition team of advisors), is necessary in order to stimulate the national economy, the banking systems, and the spending power of consumers.

Israel Attack On Hesbullah In Lebanon:

Israel bombed Lebanon's Southern State's infrastructure in 2006, and some known offices of Hesbullah. In order (according to them), to defeat or break Hesbullah's strength and ability to operate fully.

This tactic by Israel is proving useless, and is responsible for the thousands of civilians killed in Lebanon, by these bombings. Deliberate or not, the evidence on the ground will validate or invalidate the wisdom, or vendetta of Israel.

GAZA Today:

Today we see the same tactics used in Gaza to kill those who stand against Israeli aggression, and occupation of illegal territories in that region. And for the freedom of Palestinians to live, travel, self reliance, national dignity, and ultimately to gain sovereignty.

What Israel is doing, is supported by The USA, and some or most Sunni Arab controlled countries in that region. Most of whom are lackeys for the USA's foreign policy in that region.

Killing thousands of innocent civilians, can in NO WAY justify any reason for rooting out suspected terrorists among the Palestinian people. Most of whom are merely expressing decades of political frustration, national incarceration, political isolation, and a disregard for these people's fight for national freedom, sovereignty, and ethnic preservation.

Munitions Used:

Cluster bombs were used against Hesbullah militants in Lebanon, and the civilians of Lebanon. With the expressed excuse of Israel for going after TWO captured Israeli soldiers in that conflict. One of these soldiers are presumed dead, and the other is yet to be released, and whose life is yet to be determined. But what Israel cannot justify in this conflict, is the thousands of Palestinian resistance fighters in their prisons, who were captured over decades of Israeli insurgency into Palestinian territories.

No amount of Palestinian resistance towards Israel, could justify the mass killing of innocent civilians on the Palestinian side, most of whom have no way to retaliate against a Nuclear capable, and USA supported neighbor like Israel.

So this conflict will always be in Israel's favor, regardless of how often the Palestinians resist their onslaught. The time has come for the USA to rethink it's position on Israel's role in that region, and how much support it is willing to give Israel, as it continues to aggress their neighbor militarily.

If Caroline Kennedy wants to convince New Yorkers that she is eligible for the job. She has to provide an agenda of issues, that New Yorkers care about or is concerned with, to the people of New York State.

For example:

* Comprehensive Healthcare for all New Yorkers:

* A Comprehensive Immigration Bill that provides legal status for P.R.O.C.U.L. residents, (Persons Residing Under Color Of Law):

b. Family with children at home who are unable to bring them to the USA; work permits for those who legally qualify for residency, pending legal status confirmation.

c. And lifting the bar for those who are HIV positive, are residing here in the USA, and needs medical coverage and access to HIV medications.

* Acceptance of anyone into the military who is self identified as Gay or Homosexual:

* College affordable financial assistance and scholarships for the Lower Income students, High School dropouts, the No Child Left Behind Initiative.

* The creation of manufacturing jobs, services, and other infrastructure that helps New York State provide employment for it's citizens.

* Affordable Housing for all New Yorkers, especially the Low Income Level Housing residents.

These are just some of the issues that Hillary Clinton advocated for, and I would expect Caroline Kennedy to co-opt into her advocacy proposals for consideration for that senate seat.

* Some republicans and others currently are totally against regulations of any kind for the business community. They claim it would inhibit how A Free Enterprise Economy or Markets are supposed to function and grow economically.

* Some also believe that if left alone, the Free Market via competition among the players within, will regulate itself.

Today, what we see is the opposite of the latter position highlighted above. Because of deregulation, most of the big corporations and financial institutions and individuals within, took risks that was beyond the premise for 'safe risk taking,' fueled by greed and self aggrandizement.

Therefore, in order to make the Free Market System work equitably for most of the players within, a regulated platform of rules MUST be legislated, and stringently implemented, to ensure that no runaway group or individuals could con the system, to the point of no return and total disaster once again!

The Strategy To Take In Afghanistan For The Next President:

For centuries this country was governed and controlled by Warlords, Sheiks, and Fiefdoms. That is all they know, and are comfortable with. The mentality primarily of these people are biased in favor of the personality of some individual, who have the collective confidence and trust of the local tribes or community. He is the 'Go To' person, director and pacifier, of all social and cultural mores obtained therein.

Thus making these leaders almost absolute rulers among them!

Afghanistan is historically a Tribal and Ethnically controlled and managed society. The Tribal Warlords or Leadership have power, influence, and provides protection for their own region, and with the expressed consent of the people therein.

The Poppy growers are connected with this tribal leadership and management. It provides the funding for the tribal leadership's own protection via his personal militias or soldiers. And helps to finance his own agenda in terms of infrastructure, agricultural development, water and irrigation, and maintaining the peace and family relations that are prescribed under Islam.

The central government never had total control or governance of these outlying regions, because of all or most of what was alluded to above. And Hamid Karzai government cannot impose it's will or control throughout this country without the co-operation and financial accommodation of these tribal Warlords/Leaders. Which are the only ones that the commonweal will listen to, respect, and believe, at any given time.

Democracy is a foreign form of governance to these people and nation. They are historically accustomed to autocracy. With a centralized head of state, who was subordinate to the ruler or King.

With the advent of the American occupation, control, and establishment of the current Hamid Karzai government, the internal power struggles, infighting for position, authority, financial patronage and acquisition have become so out of control. That it is extremely difficult to find any government official who is not on "the take." or accepting some form of "kick back" under the table.

Until the government is able to root out this endemic corruption from within, it will be very difficult to get official policy decisions implemented, without some officials wanting to have his or her own cut or kickback!

SOLUTIONS:

* Conduct enquiries into the possibility of conscripting those Warlords/Leaders who are prepared to genuinely work for pay with the government. Try to get their co-operation in managing their own regions, even allowing them official positions such as Governors.

* Give them the munitions to police their own region, with the intention that should they default on the bargain, the Central Government in Kabul will take back whatever authority was granted them prior to the betrayal.

* Allow them to control or gradually phase out the Poppy Growers, with practical developmental plans to build infrastructure projects, which will provide employment to those families who depend on poppy farming to survive.

* Finally, let these same Warlords be in the frontline to identify, apprehend, and combat any Taliban or El Qaeda elements that are bent on infiltrating Afghanistan from the Pakistani border.

Historically, the Middle Class were those groups, or communities that enjoyed above average good wages, healthcare benefits, permanent jobs with a pension, and invariably were unionized.

This group more or less controlled the construction jobs, manufacturing, building, processing, and middle management (or White collar) type employment.

Those outside were the rest of us Lumpen Proletariat, or the general low income masses. SOLUTIONS:

What this country need, is A Comprehensive Immigration Bill that guarantees the following:

1. Acceptance of any foreigner, who is not a National Security threat to the country, and has satisfied the Legal Immigration entry requirements.

2. Grant residence status to those who have satisfied the above requirements: (b) Displayed respect for our National Constitution & Local laws: And have not committed any felonious act/s while in residence here.

3. Grant Legal Residence Status to those who have overstayed their visas, and are unable to return to their homeland, for fear of reprisals, retribution, and/or financial inability to re-enter the USA.

4. Seeking asylum for political, religious, or racial/ethnic reasons, should be considered eligible for legal residence status.

5. Any person/s who have tested HIV positive while living in the USA: Have entered the country legally:

Have been residing here for over one year prior to being tested HIV positive, should be granted legal residence status, on humanitarian grounds.

6. Ensuring that our national borders are adequately policed: Persons entering or leaving our sovereign territories, must provide the necessary legal papers or identity.

7. All immigrants, legal or illegal must be allowed to access medical/emergency assistance from any hospital or clinic in The USA, without being asked for his/her legal residence status documents.

FURTHERMORE:

It was under President Bill Clinton's watch that The Immigration Laws that were introduced in 1996-97 that inhibited legal residence, eg P.R.U.C.O.L. (Persons Residing Under Color Of Law). Most of whom for various reasons, overstayed their time here in America, and was now seeking permanent resident status.

His signing of that law, debarred most of them from ever gaining that legal status without having to return to their home countries, and risk death, poverty, shame or worse! And the only eligible people that manage to float in, sail in, drop in, or reach the shores of America, are the Cubans, and they are entitled to Automatic Legal Residence Status?

This kind of differential treatment of humans, coupled with political convenience, bothers me greatly.

A FORD & GM Merge-May Be Prudent!

GM-Ford & Crysler have come a long way capitalizing on the manufacturing and sale of their cars, and other vehicles locally and foreign.

But now the manufacturing climate has changed dramatically, and these companies, saddled with internal pensions, healthcare, and other worker/management agreements, are unable to recalibrate fast enough, to cater to the more consumer affordable, fuel efficient, environmental efficient vehicles, foreign owned, and more innovative models.

Holding on to these traditional Three Entities under this financial crisis and international globilization, will also make it even more difficult to remain competitive.

Therefore, it may be wise and financially prudent for Ford and GM to merge, thus making them more competitive, and giving them the leeway to make speedy internal changes that would allow for development, progress, innovation, and survival.

The US cannot defend Afghanistan's borders, because it is as long as our border with Canada. And thank Haven we do not have that problem here as yet.

Get Out of Afghanistan, and let them protect themselves. Hamid Karzai is a Titular Head Of State. This man has little or no power, not even in Kabul.

Those governmental ministries/departments under his authority, are so currupt, the Taliban is able to infiltrate them easily with kickbacks, and threats.

College Education Is Out Of Reach For Many!

Tonight I watched a documentary about college education for most of our state's resident youth. He stressed that even though the Federal Government has, and is increasing it's contributions to education in most states. These individual states are not making adequate allotments to the colleges that need it. Sometimes not at all.

So this lack of state funding for colleges are preventing tuition assistance via grants, tutor's salaries, adequate facilities, and the lack of funding for aspiring students, most of whom are poor or dis-enfranchised economically.

The lack of affordable tuition for most students, are making them seek loans from banks, that are enormous to repay at the completion of their studies. And most recipients of college loans will be indebted to banks for decades, from paying back those loans and the accumulated interest.

If the Federal government could pressure the individual states to comply with educational responsibilities via benchmarks, or targeting colleges recruitment and financial programs. Maybe this could be one aspect to get more funding allocated to colleges, to assist those in dire need of such assistance. It would also help these colleges become more competitive, and attract quality students academically.

If the current recurring polls are taken for granted as an indication of what is to come. Then I say that RACE will not determine who wins this election.

Yes, I firmly believe that Barack Obama's chances of winning the presidency, is to be able to get most Young White, Latino, and all Black votes in the Electoral College States, to ensure victory.

This election is not about Apalachian voters, or older White women.

This election is about Turning The Page, and Taking A Different Approach To Governance In Washington-DC, will be the determining factor.
